On 5 September, Form 3 students engaged in an anti-bullying workshop with the support of over 10 social workers and student helpers from the EduHK Project Aspire at St. Paul’s College. The event was jointly organized by the SEN Team and the Discipline Team, focusing on encouraging Form 3 students to respect neurodiversity.
Social workers and student leaders were deployed to each Form 3 classroom to host a board game activity. The game began with students answering scenario-based questions about various socially awkward situations in daily life, each with multiple-choice answers. The boys actively participated in making thoughtful decisions to earn as many game chips as possible. Throughout the activity, they grappled with the dilemma of prioritizing individual gain versus teamwork. The program guided them in weighing different choices regarding safety, empathy, cooperation, and bravery.
In the debriefing session, students were asked to reflect on the dispositions that hold the greatest significance for them and consider their own experiences. It is gratifying to observe their respect for diversity, the development of social skills, and team spirit as they embark on a new academic year.
