Form 1 Celebrating Diversity Programme

On 3 September, Mr. Ivan Ma, along with over 10 dedicated social workers and student leaders from the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) Project Aspire, visited St. Paul’s College to deliver an inspiring program for Form 1 students, organized by the SEN and Discipline Teams.

The event began with a lively warm-up game that set a positive tone for discussions about bullying. Students watched informative videos that highlighted the relationship between bullying and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), stressing the need for inclusivity for students with special educational needs (SEN). Divided into small groups and guided by student leaders, our boys engaged in discussions on how to address bullying, appreciate the vulnerabilities of others, and cultivate positive relationships, with a strong emphasis on empathy.

In addition to discussions, student helpers set up around 10 game booths related to bullying and ASD. The students participated in games to reinforce their learning from earlier discussions. These booths created not only a fun learning experience outside the classroom but also an opportunity for them to build their social skills. The program contributed to creating a more inclusive learning environment in the junior forms.
